Installation View @ Alcala del Jucar 2007
Manual labourers all over the world use these jackets. I moulded them into different organic forms, which have reference to exotic birds and butterflies, presenting them in a non threatening way.
These objects come alive when light hits them, for suddenly they become fluorescent projecting out light. The forms that are created when illuminated have a magical and strange presence.

Manual labour and immigration go hand in hand, in these series of works I explored the possibilities of transforming these signs of danger into something more amiable and poetic,

In 2007 I was awarded a two-month residency in Alcala del Jucar, Spain. My solitary stay opened a new productive stage wich continued with moving to London in 2008 and enrolling in Chelsea University to complete a Sculpture course, wich provided wonderful tuition and great group of artists peer support and a studio in Hortensia road.

Since then , I completed several site specific installations.
